Level 3 Emergency First Aid

This course is designed for people who want to receive training in emergency first aid. This course work is designed to ensure that on completion of the course delegates are aware of how to handle it related emergencies in the workplace.
This course is a 1 day course and is divided into following several units.

  1. The roles and responsibilities of a first aider
  2. How to assess an incident
  3. How to assess an unresponsive casualty
  4. How to manage a casualty who is bleeding (severe and minor)
  5. How to manage a casualty who is in shock
  6. Seizures, choking and fainting
  7. Burns and scalds

 

Level 3 First Aid At Work

This course Work is designed to ensure that on successful completion of the course delegates are trained first aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

The outlines of course are

  1. The roles and responsibilities of a first aider
  2. How to assess an incident and conduct a secondary survey
  3. How to assess an unresponsive casualty
  4. How to manage a casualty who is bleeding or in shock
  5. How to manage a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles and joints or with suspected head, spinal injuries and/or chest injuries
  6. Seizures, choking, fainting and asthma
  7. Burns, scalds and poisoning
  8. Eye injury
  9. Low blood sugar and severe allergic reactions

 

Paediatric First Aid Level 3 (12 hour)

This qualification is ideal for those who work or intend to work in a childcare setting. This course is able to respond to emergencies quickly.

This course is a two-unit award, comprising:

  • Unit 1: Paediatric Emergency First Aid
  • Unit 2: Managing Paediatric Illness and Injury
